Bernardino Martinez Montiel, age 73, passed away on July 31, 2021 He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Felipa M. Montiel, his father; Juan Montiel Sr., his children; Ramona (Anthony), Yolanda, Bernardino Jr. (Lydia), Frank (Christina), Juan (Asusena), Marylou, Maggie, his siblings; Lucia, Juan, Adelita, Isabel, Rick, Anita, Carmen, Luciano, Ramon, Maya, Amaro, Senobio, his grandchildren; Michael, Crystal, Cory (Nerina), Matthew, Bernardino III (Reyna), Alejandro, Juanito, Frankie Jr., Christian, his great grandchildren; Selena, Santana, Ava. He was preceded in death by his mother; Isabel Martinez, and grandson Angelo Rey. Bernardino dedicated his life to being a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He gave himself unselfishly to the care of his family. Mr. Montiel served in the United Army during the Vietnam War. He served as Commander of Post 124. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 6pm-Sunrise. With Rosary beginning at 7pm. At Montiel Residence 5810 E. Calle Sonora, Guadalupe, AZ 85283. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 8am at Montiel Residence 5810 E. Calle Sonora, Guadalupe, AZ 85283. Bernardino will be laid to rest at the Guadalupe Cemetery; 4649 S. Beck Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85282. Pall Bearers: Joseph Ramirez, Paul Matus Jr., Arturo Dominguez, Mark Van Dorn, Johnny Van Dorn, Ben Matuz Jr., Robert Gonzales, Jose Fraire
