Lee Franklin Albrecht
September 13th, 1934 - February 16th, 2022
Lee was born on September 13, 1934, in Savanna, Illinois, and passed in Mesa, Arizona, on February 16, 2022. Lee had been a resident of Mesa for over 65 years and lived there with the love of his life, Glenda Albrecht, who passed on September 28, 2021. Together they raised their five children there. He is survived by his 5 children, Kathy Albrecht Sieckman (Bill), Brenda Albrecht De La Rosa (Ric), Lori Albrecht Greene (Jim), Buddy Albrecht, and Alan Albrecht (Julie); 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Lee served in the U.S. Army in Korea and came “home” to Mesa, where his mother had moved while he was in the service. There he met Glenda and they started their life together. Lee worked as a cook at Bob’s Big Boy and then got into cement finishing, where he spent the remainder of his working life. Once he quit working, he focused on watching old Westerns and wrestling, frequent visits to Las Vegas or one of the local casinos, and on his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lee had many great stories and loved telling them, sometimes shocking his adult children with the details. He will be greatly missed.
