Roberto Escobar Zabaleta, 74, passed away on February 12, 2023, with family by his side in Chandler, Arizona. Roberto is survived by his wife of 38 years, Hortensia Granillo Zabaleta, two sisters-in-law, Jenny Sublasky, Gloria Granillo, brother-in-law, Philip Talamantez, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by and his known siblings Olivia, Gloria, Santiago, Pablo, Daniel and others, all citizens of El Salvador. Roberto left his home country El Salvador at the young age of 23 when he came to the United States. He worked various seasonal jobs in Arizona until obtaining a job with Dunn Del Ray which later became CMC Metals, from whom he received recognition for 20 years of service in 2017. Roberto retired at the age of 70. The family will hold a private service officiated by Pastor G. Ramirez. Thus, no viewing or service will be held for the public. Hortensia Zabaleta and family extend our gratitude to family and friends for your expressions of sympathy and support.
