Kenneth Vance Lindsey of Snowflake, Arizona passed away October 15, 2023, at the age of 79. Vance was the son of Kenneth Arnold Lindsey and Anne Dell (Payne) Lindsey. He grew up in Marana, Arizona on a cotton farm and graduated from Marana High School in 1963 then attended Eastern Arizona College. He was drafted into the Army and served in the 1st Division (the big red one) assigned to 4th Calvary Troop D (Air Cavalry) where he was awarded a purple heart for injuries recieved in combat and a bronze star for valor during his time in the service. Vance had a forty-year career in the fire sprinkler industry and was involved in many major construction projects throughout Arizona, Mexico, and the Western United States. After retirement, Vance visited family, negotiated "great bargains" including many vehicles and trailers (useful or not) thus, ensuring at least one was in working condition at all times. He took great joy in negotiating, aquiring, and eventually installing great finds at his home. He started many construction prohects and even finished some. "There was always something that needed to be built". Vance was known for his love of family and friends. He would do anything to ensure their needs were met, especially if it included the use of one of his many trailers. When in a bind, He was always someone you could count on. Vanci is preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Betty Anne Ellsworth. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lindsey, four children Brynt (Stephanie), Sara (Ron), Russ (Wendi), Chris (Naomi) and stepchildren Ty White (Lori), Joe White (Kendel), Shawn White (Nikki) and grandchildren who were the light of his life. Many called him grandpa, uncle, brother, or a tru friend. He will be greatly missed. If you have had the pleasure of knowing Vance to include buying, selling, trading trucks, tractors, tires, welders, metal, or other items of "immense value," been helped by him in any way, or have great stories to share, please join in celebrating his life on October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am located at Snowflake Social Hall at 78 W Center St. Snowflake, Arizona.
