Madeleine Vivian Brophy

Madeleine Vivian Brophy October 21, 1938- June 17, 2022 (Age 83) Madeleine Vivian Brophy of Mesa, Arizona passed on June 17, 2022. Madeleine was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Roland and Cecile Brunelle. Madeleine spent her early years on the East coast and moved to Arizona with family as a young girl. She called Arizona home for more than 60 years. A spirited young woman, Madeleine enjoyed painting, playing piano, and dancing. In her later years she enjoyed crosswords, puzzles, shopping and dining with family. Madeleine was known for her strong and independent spirit and was not afraid to speak her mind. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Madeleine was proudest of the years she spent raising 2 families and six children. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Madeleine is survived by her sons Timothy Brophy and Richard Brophy. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Burgoyne. Madeleine is also survived by her 6 granddaughters, and 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers we encourage donations to Hospice of the Valley or Fresh Start Women's Center.
