Katherine Davis October 6 1926 - February 23 2020 Katherine Howze was born October 6th, 1926 in Lena Mississippi. She was the oldest child of Sam and Clara Howze, she had 14 brothers and sisters. Sam Jr., Willie James, Mary Alice, Jean, Frank, Azzie, Clarice, Lonnie, Betty Jo, Maxie, Leroy, Robert, Jerry and Bonnie Jean. Katherine relocated to Detroit in 1950, it was there she met and married her husband Wille V. Davis. From this union came 3 children. Ken, Steve and Michelle. Katherine had 5 grandchildren Biquel, Rashad, Thaddeus III, Arionne, and Devin. She was also Great Grandmother to Sierra, Stefan, Jalynn, and Cartier. She was Mother in Law to Denice Taylor Howze, who loved replicating Mom's recipes for various dinners and deserts. Education was very important to Katherine, she raised all her children to understand the importance of getting a good education, mainly because she was not afforded the same opportunity when she was a kid. Katherine was very successful achieving many of her goals while living in Detroit. She was the world's greatest Chef and Hostess, she really knew how to prepare and host a great dinner party whether it was the 4th of July, Thanksgiving or Christmas. She always had exquisite taste, in fashion and interior design. As the years went by Katherine relocated to Phoenix AZ to live with her only daughter Michelle and her three grandchildren and eventually her great grandchild Cartier. Because she really enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. She was the best mother, wife, sister, and mother in law and friend any family could have; she always went above and beyond for the success of her family. Katherine's home going was 2/23/2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix AZ. Rest in Heaven Katherine Davis you did well; Best mother, wife, sister a family could have. WE ALL LOVE YOU FOREVER !!
