Alan DeWane Zimmerman

Alan DeWane Zimmerman graduated into new life on January 8th 2020 in Mesa, Arizona along side his loving partner, after his battle with cancer. Born April 22nd 1956 in Kingman, Arizona to Rev. DeWayne Roys and Betty Jean Zimmerman. Alan was a precocious child who was recognized as a musical savant at the age of two, mastering instruments sounds chords and melodies before speaking. Attending schools in both Tucson and San Diego, Alan also attended The University of Arizona and was a proud Wildcat. Alan spent his professional career working in the arts and theater district of Phoenix, although his most proud job was that of stay at home father while his daughters were young. Alan spent his days later in his life active in current events and virtuous political causes, playing and enjoying music, and sustaining life long friendships with so many he treasured dearly. Alan enjoyed his new role of grandpa dearly, and treasured time together with his grandson and granddaughter more the than anything in the world. Alan is survived by his daughters, Laura (Geoffrey) and Hayley Zimmerman. By his grandchildren, Aaron Joseph and Dylan Elizabeth Balon. By his brother and best friend, Evan (Melissa) and his nephew Parker Duane and niece Paige Olivia. And by his loving partner, Ardeth Lane Fair.
