Karan Ferris Lee

On Friday, June 14th 2019, Karan Ferris Lee, loving husband and father of 3 children, passed away at the age of 82. Karan was born on January 10th 1937 in St. Johns, Arizona, located in Apache County, to Claude Lee and Alice Levina Wilcox. Karan proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 11th 1955. He was stationed at McGuire AFB in New Jersey. He served 4 years, after which time he was honorably discharged on August 9th 1958 and received a medal for good conduct. Karan met and fell in love with his soulmate, Johnnie Marie Lyman, several years later after leaving the Air Force and they were married on December 8th 1961. They purchased their first and only home in Mesa, Arizona, and raised 3 children together. They were married for 57.5 years. Karan was a loving, caring and compassionate husband and father. He also loved animals and never hesitated to adopt and care for many strays when they needed a home. Karan was preceded in death by his father, Claude Lee, and mother, Alice Levina Wilcox. He is survived by his 3 children: Ronald Ferris Lee, Michelle Keast, Lisa Yvonne Dunckel and his beautiful dog named Bella. Services will be held on Friday, July 19th 2019, 10:00 A.M. at Meldrum Mortuary located at 52 N. Macdonald Street, Mesa, Arizona, 85201. Flowers may be sent to Meldrum Mortuary.
