Melva Johnson

Melva Clement Johnson, 94, of Mesa AZ, passed peacefully early Sunday morning March 31, 2019, as she was surrounded by her immediate family at Banner Desert Medical Center. She passed due to complications of pneumonia. Melva was born May 13, 1924 in Mesa, AZ. She was the daughter of Warren Foote Clement and Druzilla Rogers. She always put her family first before her own needs. She worked with her brother Tom Clement, in his garage to help her family and to pay her way through beauty school. She worked in a beauty shop in Gilbert during the early part of her marriage. She married Forrell C. Johnson and had two daughters. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and a blessing to all who knew her. She will be missed by those whom she touched in her long, well lived life. Melva and Forrell were life long members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission together in England. She shared the gospel to all who would listen and bore her testimony with strength and conviction. She held many position in the church during her life. Her faithfulness will guide her into the afterlife to be with her husband and loved ones forevermore. Melva was preceded in death by her husband Forrell. Surviving her are 2 daughters Melva Sue and husband Donald McCleve, and Janna Marie and husband Thomas LeRoy. She has 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren are Melinda Bethke and husband Matthew Bethke, Donald McCleve II, Yvonne Pipp and husband Nathan Pipp, Teressa Linke and husband Daivd Linke. Her great grandchildren are Rose Norton, Kyle Norton, Holly Pipp, and Chance Linke. She is survived by sister Dortha Higgins and brother Ronald Clement. Cemetery Details City of Mesa Cemetery 1212 N.
