Barbara Lois Noyes Walsh Enos
October 16th, 1927 - February 6th, 2018
Barbara Lois Noyes Walsh Enos, 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on February 6, 2018. Barbara was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on October 16, 1927, to Charles Warren Noyes and Selina Gardner Cashmore. She is predeceased by her parents, her only sibling, an older brother Robert Speir Noyes, and her husbands, William Madison Walsh and William Andrew Enos. Barbara graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, NY, in 1946. She completed two years at Lasall Business College in Auburndale, MA. Soon thereafter she was introduced to a friend's brother and married William Madison Walsh on April 25, 1953. Two daughters were born to them, Susan Speir Walsh (Mrs. Joe B Nelson) and Linda Woodworth Walsh (Mrs. C Fred Fisher). The family moved to Arizona in 1960 to be near Barbara's brother and his family. After Barbara and Bill divorced in 1962, Selina (Nana) joined them in Arizona and the four became a family with Barbara earning a living and Nana manning the home front. Barbara had a long career with Mountain Bell Telephone (then Qwest and, finally, Century Link) as a business center supervisor. It was here she met Bill Enos and they married in 1984. After her retirement they lived in Oregon a few years but eventually moved back "home" to Arizona to be near both families and friends. Mom lived a wonderful, full life. Her heart was generous to a fault. While she struggled with memory, she never struggled with her love of family, dear friends and dedicated caregivers at Mesa Adult Care Home. And she never lost her sense of humor! "What a wonderful thing is death, really, when all is said and done. It is the great reliever. It is a majestic, quiet passing on from this life to another life, a better life. We go to a place where we will not suffer as we have suffered here, but where we will continue to grow, accumulating knowledge, developing and being useful under the plan of the Almighty made possible through the atonement of the Son of God." At Barbara's request, their will be no viewing or service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice in Barbara's name. Arrangements are under the direction of Meldrum Mortuary.
