Deone Flake Croff, 74, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2017 in Gilbert, Arizona, formerly of Eagle, Idaho. Deone was born to Samuel and Rula Flake on December 31, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona. She was the oldest child with four siblings: Sandra Risley (Late Jerry Risley), Dennis Flake (Jeanene Flake), Marilyn Llewellyn (Bob Llewellyn) and Reed Flake (Lori Flake). Deone was always happy and lit up a room with her sparkling blue eyes and radiant smile. She made a friend wherever she went. She loved Jazz music and could often be found dancing and singing her way through life. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northeast British Mission and attended Brigham Young University. She was a great pioneer, actively participating in the early days of the Arizona LDS Mutual and Young Single Adults programs and helped create "SAMS" (Single Adult Mormons). She arranged activities with the Los Angeles' singles groups where she met her sweetheart Ken. She married Kenneth Croff on June 7, 1975 in the LDS Arizona Temple (Mesa). They were blessed with three children: Brinton Croff (Amber Croff) of Boise, Idaho; Karina Andersen (Robert Andersen) of Gilbert, Arizona; and Courtney Serra (Pete Serra) of Star, Idaho. Deone loved her children and eleven grandchildren. Deone was also active in the community and loved politics (go Fox News). She spent many years working from home for House of Lloyd. She was a top seller and received many awards for her efforts. She loved to travel and earned many trips from her success with sales. She has traveled the world, and has visited every state in the union. Later in life Deone and Ken served a couple's mission for the Church in the Michigan Detroit Mission. She loved meeting and serving the people of Detroit. In the end, not enough can be said about her. All who came in contact with her loved her and she was the light and life of any gathering - the world truly has lost a precious angel of the Lord. Funeral will be Saturday November 4th at the the LDS church building at 1852 N. Stapley Dr. in Mesa. Viewing 9am, Funeral Service 10am. Funeral arrangements by Meldrum Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Anderson Cancer Center or the LDS Church humanitarian funds. Cemetery Details City of Mesa Cemetery 1212 N.
