Armando Rey Torres was born June 16, 1964. Armando was a born again Christian and attended Pima Christian Fellowship in The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and sought guidance from Pastor Marty and Laurie Thomas at the final stages of his illness. Armando entered into Heaven peacefully on August 4, 2017 beside his loving family in Scottsdale, Arizona. Armando is presided into heaven by his Mother Andreana E. King Torres and his Grandmothers Elanor King and Abrana Hernandez. Armando will be deeply missed by his daughter Vanessa Torres Ochoa and her husband Joseph Ochoa and their 3 children Damian Escobedo, Dominic Torres and Marissa Torres Father Tomas H. Torres SR. and older brother Tomas Torres Jr., his sisters Margaret Torres and husband Jesus Serna, Gina Torres, and Norma Torres. Five nephews and four nieces and eight grandnieces and nephews along with many cousins in Arizona, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Armando attended grade school in Arizona and attended College in Kansas at Kansas City Collage and Bible School then transferred to Mid-America Nazarene University with a Pastoral Bachelor's Degree in 1999. Armando attended church in the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and worked for The Salt River Indian Community in various departments where he was able to help others. Armando loved life and enjoyed being outdoors his passion was fishing and he liked to teach others how to fix a line and how to cast. Wherever Armando went he made friends and would help the best he could. He enjoyed life and did his best. Armando fought the hard fight against liver cancer. Wake Services will be August 18, 2017 6pm at Memorial Hall 9849 E. Earl Drive Scottsdale, Arizona 85256 Funeral services will be held at Memorial Hall at 7:00 am; Interment will follow at Salt River Cemetery 10661 East Palm Lane Scottsdale Arizona 85256.
