Karen Janes

Karen Janes of Tempe, Arizona passed away on July 17, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona. Born on October 6, 1943 in Summit Township, Wisconsin, Karen was preceded in death by her parents Ray Low Janes and Venna Aulean Cantwell and her two siblings, Marsha and Norbert Ray. She received her bachelor's degree in home economics education from Brigham Young University and her master's degree in behavioral clothing from Utah State University. She loved learning and continued to take classes throughout her life. Karen taught thirty years in the Tempe Elementary School District where she taught various subjects and desired to teach her students to be virtuous and successful. Karen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ and served in many capacities. A funeral service will be held in her honor on August 4, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1050 W Grove Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85283 at 9:00 am.
