Joel Kevin Smith

Joel Smith, 55, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away July 2, 2017. He was a servant of God, and a caring, generous, tender-hearted man blessed with many creative and inventive talents. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Joel is survived by his wife of 22 years, Theresa; daughters Jenny and Rebecca; sons Ethan, Elias, and Cameron; mother Jo Anne Smith; and sisters Elissa (Dennis Steele), Laurie, Lynne Luster (Rick), and Susan Williams (Tim). He will be greatly missed. Joel operated a water and fire damage restoration service with his father Ed Smith (deceased) and mother in Mesa for more than 35 years. He was a graduate of Westwood High School and attended Grand Canyon University, Arizona State University and Mesa Community College. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017 with the funeral service following at 10 a.m. at Life's Destiny Church, 2601 E. Brown Rd.
