Charles Eugene Jackson, Sr.
October 11th, 1958 - January 22nd, 2017
Charles Eugene Jackson Sr. was born on October 11, 1958 in Chandler Arizona, the second son of Mr. Obadiah and Mrs. Charletta Jackson. He attended Winn Elementary school where he graduated with honors. In 1972, he attended East High school where he excelled in academics and sports. While in High School, he won and took his crown as two-time All Cities wrestling champion and two-time All State wrestling champion as he lettered Varsity all four years. He also won a host of freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling tournaments and was second to none. In 1976, East High dedicated an honorarium poster in the Gym in recognition of his achievements. Following high school, he accepted a scholarship and decided to attend Phoenix Community College where he studied pre-law and competed on the Collegiate wrestling team. With his thirst for excellence, in 1995, he graduated from Gateway Community College where he earned an associate's degree in Micro Computer Accounting. In 2000, he graduated at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. In 1978, he took a Job at Beckman Electronics as a Supervisor for a period of four years, and later worked for Motorola and Freescale for 24 years as an Engineer. Charles Eugene Jackson would always choose to lead by example, with a strong sense of leadership and integrity, he would always find himself taking the high road. Charles love to prove his point and backing up what he said with facts. He would jest after he proved his point by saying, "I rest my case" or by saying "to my knowledge I have only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong". Charlie loved his family, and he embraced and welcomed each and every roll God gave him in his family - whether as Son, Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather or brother. He would always stand up for the little man - never looking for a fight but never running from one either; and if he stood with you, he would make you feel ten feet tall because he never followed the crowd but marched to the beat of a righteous drum so that the man looking back at him, in the mirror, he always knew. He is survived by his loving wife Carolas Jackson, Sons - Charles Jr., Amanda and Obie Daughter Candance, Cyrus, Alexander Daughter Constance, Derrick, Dakotah, Luka, Payson Son Ceenan and Emma, Father - Mr. Obadiah Jackson Sr., Sister-Carla, Brothers - Obadiah Jr., David, Wade and a host of family and friends. Our hearts are saddened and very heavy, and he will be greatly missed.
