Melvin "Mell" James Epps
November 30th, 2002 - April 9th, 2016
Mell Epps, 74, a firefighter of 22 years, a Fire Chief of 5 years, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints peacefully succumbed to Cancer surrounded by his family in his Mesa home, Saturday April 9, 2016. Mell is proceeded in death by his father JD; Brother, Jack; Sister, Libby; brother, Jimmy and daughter, Lynn Ellsworth. He is survived by his mother, Gertie; wife, Marie; sons: Ray Robyn, Scott Anndrea and Darrell Tracy; brothers: Jerry Marca and Mike Angelica; Sisters: Kelly Tom Craig and Diane Steve Spraggins, 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Services for Mell will be held on Saturday, April 16th at the Lehi Chapel located at 830 E. Lehi Rd in North Mesa. There will be viewing from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM followed by internment at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
