Joyce Jeanette Fuller, age 91, passed peacefully to her reward on March 7, 2014. Born in Mesa in 1922 to Eugene and Lelah Schornick, Joyce married Don Fuller, a British pilot instructing at Falcon Field during World War II. They spent several years in England during the war and then returned to Mesa. The family purchased Libhart's Delicatessen on University Drive and Robson where Joyce made salads, meat pies, desserts and other homemade products for sale. The family included six children who lived in back of the little store until building a larger grocery next door that became Fuller's Fine Foods. After retirement from the grocery business, Joyce spent time loving her family, volunteering at the Mesa Southwest Museum and playing bridge at every opportunity. This beloved matriarch of the Fuller family is survived by children Carol Ann Knowles, Stephen Fuller, Heather Jean Fuller, Christopher Lynn Fuller and Cindy Lee Winters of Bristol, Vermont along with numerous grand children and great grand children. Joyce was pre-deceased by sister Margaret Schornick and son Kent Bryan Fuller. Graveside services will take place at the Mesa Cemetery on Center Street on Saturday, March 15, 10:00 AM with a reception to follow at 108 W. 7th Place, Mesa. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be mailed to Hospice Family Care Foundation at 1550 S. Alma School Rd, Suite 102, Mesa, AZ 85210 in memory of Joyce Fuller. Donations can also be made to St. Mary's Food Bank on the internet at www.firstfoodbank.org. Click on "donate" and choose "in memory of." You will be able to list JOYCE FULLER and choose to have your donation not the amount forwarded to the family. Or, you can pick up a donation form at the Memorial or Reception.
