Celebration of Sandra Kay Allen Sandra Kay Allen Born April 29, 1955 Departed May 10, 2013 Born to Edward E. Harmon & Kay Evelyn Harmon. Survived by her mother Kay Harmon, her sister Terri Harmon Morris, her children Kristi Kear, son in law Mike Kear, Traci Smith, son in law Frankie Smith, Travis Allen, daughter in law Mindy Allen. Her nieces, Jenifer Peterson, Andrea Morris and her grandchildren, Justin, CJ, Austin, Kaitlynn, Tyler, Easton, Michael, Nolan, and Maddox. Sandy was a 4th generation Arizona native. Born in Phoenix she grew up in Tempe and raised her children in Mesa. She graduated from McClintock High School in Tempe in 1973 with her oldest daughter Kristi in her arms. She was so proud of herself and so were her parents. She attended MCC and began her career in finance. A few years later she had her 2nd daughter Traci. A couple of years later her son Travis was born. Sandy loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Family parties, BBQ's, birthday parties were some of her favorite things to do. She loved to dance, especially 2-steppin with her son Travis. She loved helping her sister Terri do crafts, paint, cook especially trying out new recipes and lounge in the pool till all hours of the night. Sandy had 9 grandchildren. Eight of them were boys and one girl. They loved her so much. She enjoyed going to their sporting events. Baseball was the King of Sports! Come rain or shine, she was always there. She was an avid Diamondback fan!! She never missed a game and was always yelling at the TV. She was active in the I.A.T.S.E Local 875 Wardrobe Union. She was a wardrobe attendant and became the Business Agent. She had to resign do to health issues. Sandy had a rare heart disease. She had two open heart surgeries, a valve replacement and numerous trips to the hospital. The last time Sandy was in the hospital, she was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. With her heart condition and struggling to get better, it was too much for her body to handle. On Friday May 10, 2013, she was called home. We will miss her dearly.
