David Richard Shepherd, 65, of Mesa, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2005 in Guangzhou, China. David was born on March 17, 1939 in Mesa Southside Hospital to Rulon Tracey and Genevieve Cooley Shepherd. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Annis; daughters, Dannis Zazueta Derek; Tregoney Shepherd, and Rhiannon Vincent Ryan; and five grandchildren, Adam and Sebastian Zazueta, and Javin, Brynne and Aidan Vincent. Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth R. Shepherd and Douglas C. Shepherd; and one sister, Arlene Bateman Maurice. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brynne Shepherd. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2005 at the Centennial Ward Building, 422 E. University Drive, Mesa, Arizona. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the ward building. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Mesa Arts Center Foundation, c/o Mesa Arts Center, P.O. Box 1466, Mesa, AZ 85211, and noted in memory of David R. Shepherd who loved music and the arts.
