Dominic Arone

Domenic Arone of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2004, after a long illness with Congestive Heart Failure. His beloved family was at his bedside. Born December 23, 1912, in Reggio, Calabria, Italy, to Catherine and Phillip Arone, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1930. In 1937, he met and married his present wife, Louise, in Ravenna, Ohio. They just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this past August 21st. Mr. Arone lived and worked 41 years in Ravenna, the last 27 with The A.C. Williams Company. Retiring in January of 1979, they moved to AZ. to be near family and bask in the sunshine. Domenic always enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking and get-togethers with family and friends. His devoted wife, Louise; daughter, Gracia Heard; two grandsons, Ron and Rick; four great-grandchildren; and a younger brother, Vincent Rocco Gemma of Italy, survive him. We wish to give special thanks to Ten Little and all the wonderful caregivers at Hospice who gave so much loving kindness to dad for four years. He eagerly anticipated their visits and the attention they gave him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Domenic's name to Hospice Family Care, 1550 South Alma School Road, Mesa, AZ 85210.
