Lonnie Wayne Gray
December 9th, 1943 - April 1st, 2004
L. Wayne Gray of Gilbert, AZ passed away suddenly on April 1, 2004. Born in Direct, TX on December 9, 1943, to "Babe" Gray and Frances Woods. He was the youngest of five children: William-Edward, Dale, Jerry, and Martha-Lynn. Wayne leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Ann Parker; four children: Fredrick Dellinger, Charles Karen Dellinger, Dana Brian Mailes, and Courtney David Schile; along with six granddaughters: Maresa, Ashley, Samantha, McKenzie, Kendall and Victoria who preceded him in death; 3 grandsons: Drake, Spencer, and Garran; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him very much. Wayne was a veteran, serving as 1st Lt. with Co. C 3rd BN 32nd INF. 7th Inf Division Korea. Wayne was the 1542 INF unit commander. Services will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2004 at 4:00 PM at the LDS Church, 18305 S. Greenfield in Gilbert, with a visitation one-hour prior. A private family burial will be held on Thursday April 8, 2004 at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
