Debra Hewitt, 59, passed away on October 6, 2023, in Mesa, AZ following a brief illness. Debra was born in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Proctor High School and Hibbing Community College. Debra has resided in Arizona since 1985. She worked for The Schuster Center and later owned a consulting business, Legacy Business Management. Debra is preceded in death by her father Daniel E. McDonald and nephew Phillip Anderson. Debra is survived by her mother Joane McDonald; sisters Kathleen McDonald, Colleen (Victor) Viebahn, Sheryl (Steven) Johnson, Lynn McDonald, and Jill (Keith) Leiss; nephews Matthew (Katie) Seipel Anderson and Daniel (Jennifer) Anderson; three great nephew/nieces; and her last horse Hot Wire. Debra also leaves behind many lifelong girlfriends in Arizona and back home in Minnesota and Wisconsin with whom she shared many adventures and countless hours on horseback. Debra’s family would like to thank her friends in Arizona for their incredible kindness and help during this difficult time. A celebration of life is planned for a later date. May Debra be forever in her favorite place, in the saddle, looking through her horse’s ears
