Alejandro Villagomez

Alejandro Villagomez, 91, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023 at home with his loving family. He was the husband of Pauline Villagomez. They shared 65 beautiful years of marriage. Born in Miami, Arizona, Alejandro was the son of Ramon and Dominga Villagomez and brother to many sisters and brothers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brought so much joy, humor and laughter to so many people in his life. As a young man, Alejandro was drafted into the Korean War, proudly serving his country for two years and was awarded the Korean Service Medal and several other military accolades. He continued his civil service as a career-mechanic for the Arizona Department of Public Safety. After a 30 year career, he retired at the age of 62 to enjoy his golden years with his wife and family. Alejandro embodied the spirit of human kindness from being a life-long blood donor, to teaching himself sign language in order to communicate with his hearing, impaired co-worker, to being an avid voter, to lending a hand or wrench to anyone in need and being a role model to his family and friends. He found joy in spending time with his grandchildren playing UNO, watching football, traveling with his wife and family, reading the newspaper, drinking a Dr. Pepper, being outdoors and always eating his grapefruits. All happy memories that will last a lifetime. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Pauline and survived by his four children, Alex, Delia, Debra, Michael, his son-in-law, Curtis, daughters-in-law, Teena and Theresa, his grandchildren, Gloria, Cynthia, Daniel, Andrew, Joanna, Bruce, Matthew, Nathaniel, Mary, David, Janelle, Alicia, Alexis and her great-grandchildren, Carlos, Elianna, Erendira, Andres, Victoria, Elan, Elisa, Emaleigh, Julian, Elliott, Arturo, Elias, Alvero, Jonah and Eliza.
