DILLON, ARTHUR “Papa” EDWIN, age 96 of Eugene, passed away February 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Joann; his daughter, Laura Lynn, his parents, Jack Nye, and Olive; and his siblings David, Muriel and Wayne. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Lee and Kerry, sons, Arthur Michael and Melissa, and Christopher Alan, 9 grandchildren; Lori Elizabeth, Angela Raylene, Kasey Don, Cory Dillon, Justin Arthur, Daniel Nye, Samantha Ryce, Alexis Paige and Mary Malina and 4 great-grandchildren; Kailynn Marie, Kaiden Don, Zachary Xavier, Andrew Preston and 5 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great grandchildren. Papa grew up in the sawmill town of Wendling, OR. He honorably served his country during WWII with the Navy in the Pacific theater. He was loved and cherished for his beautiful tenor voice, his sense of humor and the love of families and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Mount Calgary Cemetery. Visitation will from 10:00-12:00 a.m. at the church.
