Erlinda Lacap Trinidad
April 11th, 1932 - July 14th, 2023
Erlinda Lacap Trinidad, age 91, died peacefully during her rest on July 14, 2023, at Seaside, CA. In her prime, she grew up in Laloma, Quezon City, Philippines whereas a young lady of beauty and grace, earned her title of Miss La Loma twice. It is also during this time that she found a passion for teaching which led her to briefly pursue a career as a teacher at a local school. In one instance, where Erlinda served as a muse for a local basketball tournament, she met her husband, Narciso Trinidad. And, with their marriage, they raised together eight children, Jun, Arlene, Lilibeth, Roland, Sonny, Chito, Rochelle, and Cherelle who were all imbued with values and respect for family. Undoubtedly this has served as one of her greatest achievements in life. In 1990, she tried her luck in the United States, together with her husband and took up several jobs to make ends meet for her children. After several years of hard work and dedication, she spent her retirement looking after her grandchildren. Erlinda was also a devout servant of the lord by making known her Marian devotion in giving value to the rosary. In her prayers, she always made sure to include her children and grandchildren. Accompanied by her family she spent her final days surrounded with joy and love. And her example will surely serve as a reminder for her friends and family to lead a loving and prayerful life. Indeed, she was a loving woman who will be deeply missed. In her memory, may it encourage everyone to live their lives with love and compassion and let us all strive to be like Erlinda, a woman who touched the lives of so many with her kindness and generosity.
