Carolita Jo Tyson

Mrs. Carolita Jo Tyson, of Monterey Bay, passed away on December 9, 2023. Born in Austin, Texas, she was a daughter of the late, Wilbur Smith and Mary Lou Henderson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, and friend. Carolita was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars and enjoyed fishing, bowling, music, dancing, and was a very loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Lee Tyson, father Wilbur Smith, stepmother Nola Faye Smith, brother Curtis McKie, and sister Jan Taylor. Surviving are her brothers Roy Smith and Sheldon McKie, daughter Ingrid Tyson, granddaughters Jessica Olivio and Tiffany Olivio, great grandsons Jet Sanders and Christopher Oakes, Jr., and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
