George Nestor Ursua
September 13th, 1951 - March 16th, 2024
George Nestor Ursua, 72, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. George was born September 13, 1951, in Bangantalinga, Iba, Zambales Philippines, to Charles, and Aquilina Ursua. He came to the U.S. in 1973, in which he enlisted into the U.S. Army February 1974 and was Honorably discharged in February 1977. He married Maria Corazon Velasco in October 1974, and lived in Seaside. He worked for Hyatt Regency of Monterey for 40 years as a Bartender. He loved playing Golf, traveling to the Philippines, cooking, gardening, and spending time with Family and Friends. George is preceded in death by his father, Charles Ursua, and mother, Aquilina Ursua, sisters, Teresita, and Serafina, and brother, Jerry (Philippines). George is survived by loving his wife Maria Ursua, children, Nelson (Jerica) – S. San Francisco, CA, Nellie (Yeisson) – Salinas, CA, and Nelda (Jerrold) – Hanford, CA. Sister, Annabelle (Larry) – Salinas, CA. Brothers, Anselmo – Philippines, Larry (Fe) – Montana, Charles Jr. (Jeannie) – Hawaii, and Philip (Rhonda) – Nevada. Grandchildren, Kayli, Nathaniel, Joleen, Matthew, and Rianna, and great granddaughter, Kelina; aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins from around the world, his loving friends and golf buddies he left behind, especially his best friend/” Brother from another mother,” Phil Nabor. We ‘LOVE YOU’ Dad, Pops, Great Papa George, you will be truly missed. Forever in our Hearts, Rest in Peace.
