Aniceta Virgino Linsao

Aniceta Virgino Linsao made Seaside. CA. her home for more than 49 years, along with her husband of 56 years. Aniceta was born April 17, 1939, the 6th of 9 children, and passed away February 22, 2019 at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. She is survived her husband, Isidore Linsao; by her daughers: Annelyn Linsao-Baria/Paul Baria, Joanne Linsao/Dennis Thomas, Debbie Linsao-Sherman/Tyril Sherman and Liza Linsao/Trevino Mathews and grandchildren: Robbie and Robriana Johnson(Joanne), Cy, Sekou and Omari Mathews(Liza) and sister, Alicia Virgino Barrett. She was preceded by her siblings: Fortunato Virgino, Eduardo Virgino, Antonia Virgino Macaraeg, Jose Virgino, Ponciano Virgino, Roberto Virgino, Amparo Virgino Benitez. Aniceta was born, raised and educated in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines. She received her Bachelor's Degree and taught at Cojuangco Elementary School in Paniqui, Tarlac. Aniceta met her husband, Isidore Linsao during those teaching days. They married in October of 1962. Aniceta gave birth to Annelyn and Vicky in the Philippines. Isidore immigrated to Seaside in 1968; returned to the Philippines for Aniceta, Annelyn and Vicky in 1969. Unfortunately, Vicky fell ill and passed away. Early 1970 Isidore and Aniceta made it to Seaside and it has been their home. Aniceta had a very difficult transition in the U.S. She had to quickly learn to cook, clean, iron, etc. Aniceta became a fantastic cook and an awesome homemaker. About eight years later, Aniceta gave birth to Joanne, Debbie and Liza consecutively. There were many challenges along the way, but Aniceta successfully cared for Isidore while he worked, raised the daughters and all the while working as a bookkeeper and transitioning to supervising the housekeeping staff at the Hyatt Regency Monterey. At times, Aniceta worked at both jobs simultaneously. During this time, her grandchildren were in her life. Aniceta adored, loved...would do anything and everything for her grandchildren. They were Aniceta's "LOVES"...which the family admired her for. Aniceta was kind, she was welcoming, she had a unique characteristic and charm that exudes such positive energy. Food, her orchids and roses were her passion. Casinos, crossword, word search puzzles, the little electronic solitaire and of course her Filipino channels made her eyes light up. Aniceta enjoyed, well, the necessity to be bright and cheery as much as possible with her dress style, her jewelry, her bright red, oraneg or pink manicures and pedicures. Aniceta was her friends' and families' light, smile and love.
