Del Rey Oaks Matthew Dittrich, a long time resident of Monterey County, passed away from cancer at age 76 on October 1, 2014. He was born in Romania on May 9, 1938. He lived in San Francisco and resided in Monterey County for most of his adult life. He served in the US Navy. Matthew is survived by his domestic partner, Patricia Griffin, 2 sons, Edward Dittrich and Michael Dittrich, his half-brother, Ernie Svacek and 2 grandchildren. Matthew was preceded in death by his wife Lillian M. Dittrich (7/29/95) and son Clifford Dittrich (5/5/93). He will be missed.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
