Christopher Lee Scott, 42, passed away July 7, 2015. Christopher was born November 27, 1972 in Fort Ord, Ca to the late Myles Scott & Carolyn Edwards. He spent his early years living in Seaside, Ca and the call of his job relocated him to Sacramento and Bakersfield, Ca to return to Seaside 4 years ago. Chris as he was fondly called attended Highland and Ord Terrace Elementary, Martin Luther King Middle School, and graduated from Seaside High School. Chris worked several different jobs starting at a early age, as some might remember, he worked for Señor Taco in Seaside, Monte Mart Groceries, and ending his career as a Correctional Officer for over 18 years. Chris was well liked by every one he came into contact with. He was a natural guy always wanting to have fun and laughs. Chris was always willing to help someone when needed. He was also always up to some type of shenanigans. Chris loved to watch his favorite football team, those dang Cowboys. He also loved cooking new things and playing Golf, but most of all spending time with his daughter Leeauna. Chris was preceded in death by his father Myles Scott, his grandparents Willie & Lillian Edwards, and his three uncles Carnell, Tony, and Ricky Edwards. Chris leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Leeauna of Salinas, Ca; his mother, Carolyn Edwards of Seaside, Ca; his two Aunts Penelope & Cindy of Seaside; cousins Kim Edwards of Seaside, Lanette of NC, Lamar of Apple Valley, Ca, Enrique of Pacific Grove, Ca, Melissa & Courtney of Lawton, OK and many other relatives and friends including his best friend & brother, Salesh Kumar. A Visitation will be held Wed. July 15th from 4:00pm-8:00pm with Funeral Services Thurs. July 16th at 2:00pm, both at Seaside Funeral Home. A Private Committal will be at Mission Memorial Park.

Mission Memorial Park

Mission Memorial Park

For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
