Gloria Cendana passed away on November 8, 2013. She was 93. Gloria was born in Roxas City, Philippines on April 16, 1920 to Luis Borres and Segunda Coloma. Gloria moved to Seaside, CA from the Philippines and has lived here ever since. She was a barber at the Presidio for many years. Gloria loved her grandchildren, cooking, playing bingo, and visiting casinos. She was also member of St. Francis Church. Gloria is survived by her children, Bill Cendana Jr. (Brenda), Sally Paguyo (Ed), Jocelyn Ylarde (Rudy), and Jane Haught (Dennis); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cendana Sr., and daughter, Nilda Lorenzo (Jesse). A vigil will be held for Gloria on Friday, November 15th at Mission Memorial Park & Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Ave. in Seaside from 4pm until 9pm with a Rosary being said at 6pm. A Catholic Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at Mission Memorial Park & Seaside Funeral Home beginning at 10am followed by a burial.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
