Memorial

Mementos

Surrounded by her loving family, Rosaline Osio, born in the Philippines, passed peacefully at age 92 from this life to the next at the Serenity House, located in Santa Barbara. A former resident of the Monterey Peninsula since the 1950's, Rosaline moved recently to southern California to be closer to her daughters. Rosaline was a devout Catholic and was an active member of the Lady of Fatima prayer group in Monterey. She will always be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness to others, as well as her terrific sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and could prepare a three-course meal at a moment's notice. Rosaline also enjoyed bingo and was fond of trips to Reno. A skilled seamstress, Rosaline worked at Brad Whitney for a few years. She later transferred to the Fort Ord Hospital and worked there for Civil Service for 25 years. Rosaline is preceded in death by her husband, Briccio Osio, Sr., and a son, Edwardo. She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grand children: Zendy (Alain - Philippe (Caroline) and children, Alexander, Monique and Christian); Bric (Jeanette - children Heather (Christopher - son, Gaius) and Eric (Angel - son, Enzo); Efrem (Jeanne - daughters Lisa (Mark - children Kyle and Katherine), Julie (fiancé, James) and Crista); and Isabel (Paul - daughter, Alison). Private Services will be held. Arrangements are by Seaside Funeral Home and Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Ave., Seaside.

Mission Memorial Park

For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
