Seaside- Known to her family and friends as "Jill" Angelina was born at the Presidio of Monterey to Nellie and Manuel Leyva. Jill was a loving wife to her husband Alexander Del Rosario of 37 Years and a loving mother to her son Anthony and her daughter Alexandria. She was dedicated to being a great homemaker for her beloved family. She loved cooking, and had many of her own secret recipes. She was also known for her love of leopard print and anything turquoise. Music was a huge inspiration in her life and one of her sayings was "music is the mirror of our lives." Music inspired her to write poems and little sayings that made everyone feel inspired, moved and loved. She was all about love, family, and God. When anyone met her they would leave knowing that true love emanated out of her and it would impact your heart and soul. Jill was preceded in death by her Uncle Noyo; 3 nieces: Shalena, Allysha, and Gina; her nana's and tata's; friends Charo, K.J. and Mercedes along with many other loved ones. Not to be forgotten are all of Jill?s beloved, loyal pets. She leaves behind her husband Alex and her kids Anthony (Jaime) and Alexandria (Ian); siblings: David (Rose,) Richard (Nadine,) Pinky (Jeff,) Barbara (Felix,) Debbie (Tom,) Manuel, Linda: in-laws Linda and Boy, and Romeo and Ellie; Jill?s "4 Pennies from Heaven" grandaughters: Gianna Mia, Dria Lee, Angelina Suzzane, and her unborn, 1st grandson Zion Isaiah plus lots of nieces and nephews. The Del Rosario family would like to thank the nurses and doctors and paramedics that assisted Jill on the day of her passing, Lucian and the crew at Mission Mortuary, Jonathan Saguil, President of Filipino Hall of Monterey, Lynne and Good Time Catering staff and all the friends and family that helped, supported, and donated time and money. We are having a celebration of Jill's life on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Filipino Hall, 629 Pearl St., Monterey, 4-10pm. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Mission Mortuary - Monterey

Being centrally located on the Monterey Peninsula and adjacent to the San Carlos and Monterey City Cemeteries, Mission Mortuary has been the premier funeral home choice for Monterey and the entire Monterey Bay Peninsula for many years. Mission Mortuary opened its doors in 1946 at a location on Munras Avenue in Monterey and moved to our current location on Camino El Estero in 1952. While times certainly have changed, Mission Mortuary has continually adapted to meet the evolving needs of our families....
