Monterey- Frank Rombi, born March 21, 1928 passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Frank moved to California as a boy first to Oakland, then a short time on a ranch in San Jose where he fell in love with Angela Rappa. They married in 1948 and started a family. Frank was a lifelong member of the Carpenters Union and well known for his talent as a craftsman. His career began with Comstock and then he moved to Daniels and House Construction. His last ten years before retirement was spent on the early addition of Community Hospital. Upon retirement in 1983 Frank kept very busy building, remodeling and helping all of his children at their homes, restaurants and even a winery. He traveled as far as Alaska and south to Los Angeles for them with tools in hand. His wife Angie preceded Frank in death in 1990. He leaves behind his six children; Sharon (John) Danelon, Salvatore (Kathy) Rombi, Joseph (Laurie) Rombi, Ann (Dale) Ringer, Frank (Lisa) Rombi and Lynn Rombi; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
