Monterey- Born in Chicago in the early 20?s and made her way to Monterey when she was 7. She passed away peacefully Tuesday night, December 27, with her immediate family by her side. Years after making her way to Monterey she was married to her husband of 50 years, Barney Ruccello, who made his way to Monterey from Pittsburg, California in the early 30?s. She started providing for her family at an early age by working on Fisherman?s Wharf and Cannery Row for over 25 years in the fishing and canning industry. Shortly after being married she was blessed with her first born in 1935 with Vincent Ruccello, again in 1942 with JJ Ruccello and one last time shortly after in 1945 with Joanne Page. After retiring from the Canneries in 1957 she spent most of her time raising her family tending to her beautiful garden and home in Seaside. Also was known to spend a few bucks at the local department stores and her well known dark green Ford Pinto was often noticed in the parking lot of various grocery stores in town. She was then blessed with the first of her grandchildren in the early 60?s and in the years to come, five more with the last in 1996. In the late 80?s was the first of her great grandchildren then 11 more with the last in 2010. Early in the evening of Tuesday night she was welcomed by the angels above and was helped to find her way into heaven to be with her husband, 5 sisters, 1 brother, and rest peacefully while looking down watching and protecting 3 sisters, her 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
