Donald Steven (Steve) James, 65 of Citra, FL passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at home with his family surrounding him. Steve was born in Ocala, FL. The son of the late Donald James and Barbara Nettles. He was retired from the Florida Department of Transportation. Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years Debbie James, sons Justin James and Jeremy James of Citra, FL., daughter Katelyn Livingston of Ocala, FL. He has 4 grandchildren Aubrey, Brayden, Waylon and Wyatt. Steve is also survived by his sister, Diane James, brothers Tom James and the late David James, stepbrothers Johnny Nettles, Donnie Nettles and the late Ronnie Nettles, stepsisters Karen Williams and Marsha Cook, and stepmothers Toni James and Shirley James. The family will be having a viewing on Wed, April 17, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Chapel, 910 SE Silver Spring Blvd, with Steve’s celebration of life service on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the chapel all family and friends are welcome to come and share with the family, with the burial to follow at Citra Cemetery.
