Alan F. Spencer, 84, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Alan was born in Batavia, NY to Forrest and Gladys Spencer. He moved to Florida from New Jersey in 1992 after retiring from the State of New Jersey. Alan also retired from the US Army where he served during the Korean conflict and the Viet Nam war. He loved to fish, golf, and cook. Most important to him were his wife of 45 years Carol Spencer and raising their 4 children; Dawn Rigby, Deanna White, Paul W. Rigby, Jr., and Anita Amoroso. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his sister Joanne Monroe and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Forrest Jr. and Jack, and his sister Diane. Alan was a member of Ocala First United Methodist Church, and TREA – The Retired Enlisted Associates. Mr. Spencer will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
