William “Bill” E. Mims, 77, of Ft. McCoy passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his residence. Bill was a native of Moultrie, GA and he moved to South Florida when he was young. After serving in the United States Army he made Fruitland Park his home. He moved to Ft McCoy 16 years ago after working in commercial construction. Bill enjoyed woodworking, loved riding horses and all animals. Most of all Bill looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Penny; daughter Pam (Greg) Beserock; son Eddie (Cathy) Mims; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Online condolences may be sent at www.hiers-baxley.com.
