Steven Jerome Smith, 62, of Keystone Heights, Florida, passed away at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, Florida on May 11, 2022. He was born March 4, 1960, the son of James Smith and Joyce Johnson. Steven was a native of Miami, Florida, before moving to Keystone Heights. He was dedicated to his job as a construction foreman and enjoyed fishing in his free time. Steven is survived by Lori E. Smith, his wife along with her shared children, Mattie and Riley Mohler, Jaime Miale and her daughter, Amber Harris all of Ocala; her shared son, Luke Miale and wife Kyla of Ft. Myers; his precious “fur-babies”, Piper and Hannah; his father, James Smith along with his wife, Lourdes; step-brother, Lito Colon, shared son of Lourdes; his sister, Cindy Heuston along with her husband Ron; and many loved cousins. A celebration of life will be held at his Steven’s home on Sunday the 29th of May from 2-4pm (7539 Smith Court, Keystone Heights, FL 32656). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Appleridge German Shepherds or Companion Animal Hospital in Melrose. Online condolences may be sent to hiers-baxley.com.
