Jack Kirschenbaum

Jack Kirschenbaum, 72, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11, 1945. He moved to Columbus, OH at the age of 3 being sponsored by the Jewish League. Jack served in the US Navy as a Corpsman with the US Marines in Vietnam. After his military service Jack became a very successful business man eventually owning and operating his own mortgage company. He retired and moved to Florida 12 years ago where he enjoyed travelling, golfing, friends and family. He always said he was a lucky man because his wife and his TV both worked. Jack was an active member of AA and had 23 years of sobriety. He is survived by his wife Nancy Kirschenbaum; son Josh Kirschenbaum; sister in law Marcia Kent; niece Susie (Stuart) Rosenblum and Rita (Label) Sugarman; nephew Matthew Kent; and several great neices and nephews. A Jewish funeral will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 12:30pm. A celebration of life will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 3:30pm with reception following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Theresa Soup Kitchen (mystcc.org) or St Paul’s Clean Kids Backpack program (cleankidsbackpack.com) both in Belleview, FL.
