Francis Henry Rutty
September 1st, 1932 - February 17th, 2021
Francis Henry Rutty, 88, of The Villages, FL. passed away on February 17, 2021. He was born in Middletown, CT on September 1, 1932 and was the oldest child of Ethel Odette Rutty and Warren L. Rutty. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eleanor Rutty Burr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Jean Johnson Rutty; brothers Warren Rutty and Wayne Rutty; daughters Cathy Kidd, Holly Krestalude and Tracy Rutty; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Frank proudly served his country in the USMC from 1950-1954 and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Frank grew up and raised his family in Haddam, CT. He worked as a tool maker for many years until his retirement from Pratt & Whitney. Frank was a horse enthusiast and a Cowboy at heart. His greatest pastime was socializing with his family and many friends, old and new. He was a consummate storyteller and the life of the party. He will be dearly missed. A service will be held at St. George Episcopal Church, Lady Lake, FL at a future date to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Villages Honor Flight, PO Box 490, Lady Lake, FL. 32158.
