Obituary for Charles Brian Karns Charles Brian Karns, 87, of The Villages, Florida passed away March 19, 2024 at Sumter Senior Living Facilities located in The Villages , Florida. He was born on September 14, 1936 in Richmond, Indiana to Glenn Karns and Ethel Kathryn (Bethge) Karns. Charles is survived by his Spouse, Joan M. Karns of The Villages, FL, his children Leslie Brown (Daughter), Russell Brown (Son-in-Law), Jamie Louther (Daughter) Larry Ellison (Significant Other), Shawn Karns (Daughter), Jeffrey Karns (Son), Joanna Karns (Daughter-in-Law), Gregory Karns (Son), Mary Karns (Daughter-in-Law), his Sister Susan Melnik, his Grandchildren Lisa Mercer (Grand-Daughter), Quinten Karns (Grandson), Sydney Brown (Grand-Daughter), as well as his Great-Grandchildren, Jonas Mercer, Jameson Mercer, Jack Karns, and Hallie Karns. Charles is a Veteran of the Indiana National Guard, where he served for six years. He went on to become a Computer Technician for IBM where he worked until his retirement. The family for Mr. Karns will be having a memorial service at a later date.
