Briana May Medina-Martinez

Briana went to rest in peace with our Lord on June 3, 2022, at age 26.She was born in Pueblo, Colorado on May 11, 1996. She was the daughter of Mary and Curtis Martinez and her biological father, Edward Jimenez II. Briana was preceded in death by her grandfather, Piedad Medina; uncle, Robert Medina; and aunts, Marian and Marylyn Medina. She is survived by her brothers, Curtis, Jr. "C.J.", Antonio, Jovan and Benicio Martinez; grandparents, Hendretta Medina, Joey and Josephine Martinez, Mary Melito and Edward Jimenez; she had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, God children, and many, many friends, all of whom she loved very much. Briana was an intelligent, real, patient, kind, gracious, beautiful soul who helped everyone she came across with whatever she could. She always put her family and friends needs before her own.She graduated with Honors from Pikes Peak Prep and Lamar Community College. Briana was a scholar and athlete who was selected as All League, All Area and All State Softball Player for St. Mary High School. She had many scholarship offers to include Division 1 but ultimately decided to stay in state so that she could be close to home.As a young person, Briana always wanted a career that she could assist people. She utilized her Psychology degree and natural nurturing skills into a successful professional career. She was employed by Crossroads Turning Points, Inc., where she was hard working and a special employee that always treated her patients with respect and humility.
