Chaz Ahmeir Woodson

Chaz Woodson was a caring and beloved husband, father, son, brother, teacher, coach and friend. He died suddenly on May 16, 2022, at the age of 38, entering into the presence of his friend and redeemer, Jesus Christ.Chaz's light began shining on the world on April 23, 1984, in Frederick, Maryland.Chaz lived in Landstuhl, Germany in 1986 with his parents, Charles "Chuck" and Wanda Woodson, who served in the U.S. Army; his little brother Kyle, and his Uncle Shawn. In 1991, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with his family, where he would spend the rest of his life. Chaz graduated from Liberty High School in 2002, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2012. He returned to Liberty High School where he touched countless lives in his nine-year career teaching math and coaching soccer, two of his lifelong passions.On July 23, 2016, he married Hannah Morley, a fellow Liberty High School teacher and his steadfast love. Chaz is the father to three beautiful children, Tamera (9), Ezekiel (3) and Malachi (22 months), who share their father's sense of wonder, intelligence and incredible dance moves.To know Chaz was a gift. An outstanding person, teacher and athlete, with a mind for numbers and a comedic wit, Chaz was a joy to be around. He was a constant competitor and loved board game nights with family and friends, video games with his brother and nerf gun wars with his children. A natural and humble leader, Chaz inspired students and young athletes and was always called upon to recount funny stories at gatherings. A man of faith, he lived in the Word of God and always remembered to love others. Chaz loved deeply, was deeply loved and he will be deeply missed.Chaz is survived by his wife, Hannah; three children, Tamera, Ezekiel, and Malachi; parents, Charles and Wanda; brother, Kyle; grandmother, Agnes; Tamera's mother, Teresa; and many, many others feeling the void of his absence.Visitation, 9:00AM, Friday, May 27, 2022 for close friends and family.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Friday, May 27, 2022, New Life Church, North Campus, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80921.
