Reverend Dr. Patricia Clarke Berkram
December 27th, 1937 - December 16th, 2021
Patricia, 83 years young, currently of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on December 16, 2021. Her journey started in Jersey City, New Jersey where she was born and raised. She was in a struggling marriage and having to raise her children in a not ideal atmosphere, she made time to work and graduate nursing school as a register nurse. She always was a caring person who loved taking care of people as a nurse from New Jersey to the Blackfeet Community Hospital on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, where she wanted to start a better live for her and her children in Montana. In her journey for a better life, she met her life-long husband Elmer Berkram who also had children he was caring for. Combining the two families wasn't easy but the determination was there to make it happen. Having six children in the home and two out on their own, made life interesting to say the least. As we all went off on our own, she then focused on the two loves of her life, Elmer, and the Lord. She spent years studying and became an ordained minister with the Assembly of Gods Church. She had compiled not only Bachelor and Master's Degrees, but also received her Doctoral Degree in Ministry. Being fluent in multiple languages, Greek and Hebrew were two languages that she can read, write, and speak fluently, and traveled the world including Singapore and Africa to teach others Greek and Hebrew (which was a requirement) so that they can get ordained with a Doctoral Degree. Her caring still continued after that part of her journey where she combined both her nursing and ministry into a single platform. She had taken a position with the state of Montana as a nurse, and ran bible studies, and taught classes for the incarcerated at Montana State Prison where at least one of her students were able to graduate, from her teachings, and become ordained as a minister. Then after several years a stroke ended her career. As she fought and brought herself back from the stroke, with Elmer by her side, she enjoyed her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.Caring is the key word for my mom as she focused on caring for her friends, her family, the sick, the spiritual, and the incarcerated. You are loved by many. RIPReverend Dr. Patricia Caring Clarke BerkramServices pending.
