Omar A. Bennett

Omar Bennett, 27, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away in his home in Colorado Springs on November 2, 2021.Omar was born August 16, 1994 to Kimberly Bennett (Riser) in Louisiana. Six months after he was born, his Dad, Geoff Bennett, came into his life. He went to Pine Creek High School and graduated, earning his diploma, in 2013. Omar played varsity football at Pine Creek and one of his proudest accomplishments is his team making it to State Championships.Omar loved watching and talking about all sports, but most of all he was a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide football fanatic. He also enjoyed gaming, which was just another outlet for him to connect with his beloved friends.He most recently worked for Red Bull as a Rep and has been there for the last four years.Omar is preceded in death by his nana, Marilyn Bennett; his grandma, Shirley Riser; and his uncle, Rondale Riser.He is survived by his wife, Amber Martinez; his mother, Kimberly Bennett; his dad, Geoff Bennett and his wife, Lori Bennett; two sisters, Ashley Bennett, and Shaterrica Dillard; two stepbrothers, Kyle and Evan; his nieces and nephews, Mila, Micah, Cameron, Kendall, Kennedi, and Carter; and his grandpa, Howard Bennett.Donations in Omar's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org) and/or send flowers to The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Paramedics of AMR, the Colorado Springs Fire Department, and Police Department for their efforts.Remembrance Gathering, 3:00PM, Monday, November 15, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
