Dennis Howard Jones

Dennis met his Lord and Savior when he graduated to heaven on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. He was born on November 12, 1955 in Wichita Falls, Texas.Dennis was what they called an Air Force brat. Traveling was part of growing up in the Military, as we moved from Okinawa, Alaska, South Dakota and Colorado. As a young man Dennis was an exceptional athlete. In high school Dennis took state, three years in a row, running the one hundred and two hundred meters in Track. He also played basketball and football. He had letters from multiple division one schools. He was nominated to attend The Air Force Academy to play football, but he chose to attend the University of Northern Colorado. Here he played football and ran track, and eventually received his Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Dennis began his career working for the State of Colorado helping people get jobs, then for American Airlines in reservations. Later in life Dennis fell in love with the Insurance business, like his brother Eddie.Dennis loved the Lord and wanted to become an ordained Minister through the House of Joy Miracle Deliverance Church in Denver, Colorado. His biggest passion was working in ministry with his wife, Gloria. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marian Jones; brother, Eddie Jones; and wife, Gloria Jones. He is survived by his father, Eddie L. Jones, Sr.; his sister, Denise Jones; his brother, Doug (Chris) Jones; nephew, Fred Jones; and relatives in Denver, Chicago, and California.
