Melissa Nicole Piccione, age 36, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away September 17, 2021, due to a tragic car accident. She was born March 6, 1985 in Mesa, Arizona. She leaves behind a loving husband, Brian Piccione; and a family of six, daughter, Kourtney; andsons, Kyle, Anthony, Matthew; and also two step children, Rachel and Christian.Melissa had a love for life and everything in it. She was a Sergeant with the Colorado Department of Corrections, where she had worked foreight years. She loved her job and loved making a difference in others lives. Melissa always loved to be outdoors, whether it was boating, kayaking, hiking, or bike riding, she love to do it all. Most of all she loved all things hot-air balloon related. She dreamedabout piloting her very own balloon one day. The smile she would get on her face and the excitement in her eyes from seeing a hot-air balloon in the sky was infectious to everyone who was around. Her laugh could make even the unhappiest of persons smile. Shewas one of the best people you could ever wish to meet.
