KISSIMMEE - William Eddie Stricklen, 91, of Haines City passed away Friday, March 9, 2012. Born November 13, 1920, in Geneva, AL, he moved to Haines City in 1940. Mr. Stricklen was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country in World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife Vertie Stricklen, daughter Peggy and son Jerry. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; sons Charles Stricklen of Auburndale and Phil Stricklen of Dundee; stepsons Ralph Marshall of Winter Haven and Richard Marshall of Haines City; step daughters Cathy Denmark and Mary Jo Daniel of Woodville, AL, Gloria Downs of Winter Haven, and Joy Kennedy of Lake Wales; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday March 12th from 6-8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday March 13th at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, with a graveside committal to follow at 1:30 PM at Mt. Enon Cemetery in Plant City.
