Katherine "Kathy" Lane

HAINES CITY - Katherine "Kathy" Lane, 71, of Haines City, FL passed away on April 14, 2012 of heart failure. She was born on August 8, 1940 in Syracuse, NY and lived in many nice places, such as Cape Cod, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii, Newport Beach, Dallas and coming to Haines City in 1995. Kathy was a lifelong homemaker and one of the best. She was a great wife and loving mother who had a style all her own, never following the trend of the year. Among Kathy's loves were her family and grandkids, going shopping, traveling and having a cup of coffee. She had many collections and she was noted as saying "the fun was in the search for items I don't have." Kathy was also a member of New Horizon Church of Haines City. She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Eleanor Clancey Nolan and her brother, Spencer Nolan. Kathy is survived by her husband, of 45 years, Doug Lane; sons, Arick (Jackie) Lane of Port St. Lucie, FL, Dallas Lane of Haines City; siblings, Faith Nolan of Syracuse, Paul (Vickie) Nolan of Skaneateles, NY, James "Jimmy" Nolan of Seattle, WA; sister-in-law, Mary Nolan of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Kari, Austin, Ellie and Jon Paul Lane. A visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City and the funeral will be Friday at 11 am at the funeral home.
